WASHINGTON — More than a dozen people were brought to safety after a boat began taking on water on the Potomac River over the weekend. Firefighters said no one was hurt.
Around 8 p.m. on Saturday, DC firefighters and rescue crews were called to the Potomac River near Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling for a report of a boat taking on water. Responding firefighters found a 35-foot vessel with 15 passengers on board.
Fireboats helped get the passengers safely to land and no injuries were reported. It is still unclear what caused the boat to take on water. Additional details
