Andre Wright, MPD’s former executive assistant chief, retires amid an internal affairs investigation.
WASHINGTON — Andre Wright, MPD executive assistant chief, officially retired, MPD confirmed on Wednesday. Wright used to be second-in-command at MPD and has been serving in this role since September 2024.
Wright and his wife, Natasha Wright, who worked in human resources, were placed on administrative leave according to MPD back in March. They were put on leave because of what was reportedly found on Wright’s MPD-issued cellphone during an internal affairs investigation.
