Teen charged as adult for bringing loaded gun to Walt Whitman High School

A Walt Whitman student faces multiple charges after allegedly bringing a loaded gun to school, according to a Montgomery County Police report. He remains in custody.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A 16-year-old Walt Whitman student is in custody after bringing a loaded gun onto school property. 

On Wednesday, officers with the Montgomery County Police Department were called to the Westfield Montgomery Mall at 12:12 p.m. for reports of a fight between groups from separate high schools. During the fight, one of the teens allegedly pulled out a gun.
