WASHINGTON — A 2-year-old boy was found safe shortly after an Amber Alert was issued on Wednesday morning. The boy was reported missing after his mother was found shot to death in Northwest D.C.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 600 block of Kenyon Street, NW, just before 11 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been shot in an alley.
