PETA awards Mayor Bowser ‘Humane Rodent Reduction’ award

The award is for Bower’s kindness to the District’s rats after birth control efforts to help with the population reduction.

WASHINGTON — Mayor Muriel Bowser is being honored by PETA for her kindness toward the arguably most hated and misunderstood residents in the District, the rats.

In a statement, PETA said A Humane Rodent Reduction Award is on its way from the organization to the mayor for the city’s decision to use birth control as part of its efforts to curb the rat populations.
