WASHINGTON — Calls are growing for the release of a local man detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Advocates say Yousof Azizi, an Iranian PhD student at Virginia Tech, was taken into custody outside his home in Germantown, Maryland, after dropping off his children at school on April 13.
They say he was initially held in Maryland before being transferred multiple times. He is now being held in Arizona.
