Three veterans and a historian are suing, claiming the President is acting unlawfully by not getting congressional approval.
WASHINGTON — A group of Vietnam War veterans are suing President Donald Trump over a proposed monument they say would dramatically alter the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery and disrespect those buried there.
The lawsuit, filed by three veterans along with an architectural historian, challenges the president’s plan to build a 250-foot “Triumphal Arch” at Memorial Circle near the cemetery’s entrance.
The plaintiffs argue the project lacks congressional approval and therefore violates federal law.
