Police say a man assaulted officers after breaking into an unoccupied Arlington residence Friday evening. Five officers suffered minor injuries.
ARLINGTON, Va. — A man was taken into custody Friday evening after breaking into an unoccupied residence in Arlington and assaulting multiple police officers during his arrest, Arlington County police said.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 6:12 p.m. to the 1800 block of Columbia Pike for a reported breaking and entering.
When officers arrived, they located a man inside the residence.
As officers attempted to take the suspect into custody, he was noncompliant
