Topeka’s Brooklyn DeLeye leads Kentucky Volleyball to win, earns SEC weekly honor

CHICAGO (KSNT) — A star from the capital city led her squad to a historic victory.

Topeka-native and Washburn Rural alum Brooklyn DeLeye helped the Kentucky volleyball team grab a 3-1 win over Penn State in the inaugural Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge at Wrigley Field Sunday night.

DeLeye led the Wildcats in kills with 21 and was second on the team in digs with ten.

On Monday, the senior outside hitter was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
