Deshaun Watson named Cleveland Browns starter for 2026 season

Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken has named Deshaun Watson as the team’s starting quarterback ahead of the 2026 season, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Aug. 24.

The quarterback decision comes after a months-long competition between Shedeur Sanders and Watson, who suffered a re-rupture of his right Achilles during last year’s training camp.
