In a fiasco during Monday’s game between Toronto and Boston that left everyone befuddled, Boston was awarded a very confusing run after two Sox baserunners and apparently some Toronto defenders forgot the out count.

When it was all said and done, the Red Sox were awarded a run despite the third-base runner’s failure to tag up before heading home. Umpires on the field didn’t even know how to explain it.
