Centennial bringing energy in year one with Keegan Hill

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) – Centennial football is gearing up for its first season under head coach Keegan Hill.

The Chargers new staff and players are getting to know one another throughout early practices.

“Establishing what I’m about, what they’re about,” Hill told WCIA. “The momentum we’ve created we want to build on in practice before week one.”

Rising junior Shamir Clark is expected to start at quarterback, following a sophomore season in which he got some varsity reps under center.

“He’s a nice athlete, very stable kid,” Hill said. “We like coaching him.”
