Department of Education opens Title IX investigation into Freedom High School allegedly recording classmate in bathroom

The sheriff’s office believes the unauthorized bathroom recordings happened more than once.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — A Title IX investigation into allegations of a student recording classmates in a Chantilly high school is underway, according to Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). 

Earlier this month, LCPS said it was working with the sheriff’s office to investigate the allegations, which came from Freedom High School. The school district said it is taking the allegations “extremely seriously.” Freedom High School Principal Tania Brown sent an email to families on May 6 confirming that the sheriff’s office believes the unauthorized bathroom
