Veterans nonprofit says surging need and falling donations threaten their future

The United Soldiers and Sailors of America nonprofit launched in 2013.

ACCOKEEK, Md. — A nonprofit serving veterans, military members and homeless veterans across the DMV is asking for help.

United Soldiers and Sailors of America (USASOA), founded in 2013, provides food, toiletries, mental health resources and so much more to those in need.

“We can provide anyone with a meal if they need something right off the bat,” said John Yori, president of the organization.
