Teenager facing murder charges after shooting another teen in DC high school parking lot

A 15-year-old appeared in court on Wednesday after being accused of murder and assault charges after the shooting of another teenager in D.C.

WASHINGTON — A 15-year-old boy appeared in court on Wednesday and faced charges relating to a fatal shooting of another teenager in a D.C. high school parking lot. 

Kenzell Locust, 17, of Northeast D.C., was killed on April 23 after being shot in the Woodson High School parking lot around 5:15 p.m. 

The child accused of killing Locust is a 9th-grade D.C. public school student. According to testimony, Locust and another person
