Inclusive literacy initiative improves AANHPI representation, bridges funding constraints at Arlington elementary school

The Very Asian Foundation’s May Book Project returned to Arlington to increase Asian representation in school libraries.

ARLINGTON, Va. — At Barcroft Elementary School, the library shelves are telling a more inclusive story this month, thanks to a donation that school officials say is arriving at a critical time for their tightening budget.
