WASHINGTON — For more than 150 years, the Eisenhower Executive Office Building has been home to some of the most powerful offices in federal government. With its massive granite exterior and ornate design, it looks more like a European castle than a government building.

But now, the Trump administration is considering major changes. The National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC) is expected to weigh in during its meeting on Thursday.
