The Bruins consecutive losses to No. 11 Oregon without a doubt played a role in the 31 NCAA Division I head coaches’ decision making. UCLA’s 45-7 overall record and blowout in their season finale against the Ducks was enough to give them 595 points, which was three below No. 5 Tennessee’s 598.
