WASHINGTON — The man accused of trying to storm the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in an attempt to assassinate President Donald Trump will remain in detention as the case unfolds.
Cole Allen, 31, appeared in court on Thursday. He is charged with attempted assassination of a president. If found guilty, he faces life in prison.
