WASHINGTON — The iconic Smithsonian Carousel will return to the National Mall this week. The beloved ride’s return coincides with America’s 250th Anniversary celebration.
A grand re-opening is set for Friday, and the ticket booth will be operating between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The carousel was removed from the National Mall three years ago for restoration and upgrades. Along with the ride itself, the restoration included work on the surrounding infrastructure.
