Teen injured in shooting near Waterfront Metro

WASHINGTON — A teen was injured during a shooting Saturday night but is conscious and breathing.

On April 18, around 9:05 p.m., First District officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 300 block of M Street, Southwest. When officers arrived, they found a teenage male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police have not said what caused the shooting and who is responsible. They also did not say how old the victim is.
