WASHINGTON — A woman has died after being struck in a hit-and-run in Northwest DC late Saturday morning.
Police responded to the scene at the intersection of 23rd and L streets, NW around 11:13 a.m.

At the time, police indicated the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts, the woman died.
They say a white jeep with Maryland tags fled the scene after striking the woman, who was in the crosswalk.
