Iconic restaurant chain closes 2 more Pa. locations: ‘Not a decision we take lightly’

Primanti Bros. announced this week it has closed two more locations in Pennsylvania.

The popular restaurant chain, known for its sandwiches made with French fries and coleslaw, said on Monday that it had closed its Monroeville and North Versailles locations in the Pittsburgh area.

“It’s not a decision we take lightly,” Primanti spokesperson Ryan Wilkinson said via email to TribLive. “Over the past few years, we’ve seen a meaningful shift in consumer behaviors in both of these locations, which led us to focus resources on other locations in the Pittsburgh market.”
