Famed Chicago Bears coach and Hall of Famer Mike Ditka has died at 86, his family announced on Friday, Oct. 9.
Selected fifth overall by the Bears in the 1961 NFL Draft, Ditka earned Rookie of the Year honors as the first tight end in league history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.
