Lake Brantley senior Avalyn Thompson has put a lot of time and mileage into becoming one of the Orlando area’s best cross country runners while also participating on her school’s swim team and maintaining a 4.65 grade point average this fall.
She’s won all three of her XC races and has the fifth-best time in the area — 18 minutes, 55.49 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles).
