I went to my first Astros playoff game. It wasn’t what I expected.

With Cam Smith at third base and two outs, presumptive American League MVP Yordan Alvarez walked to the plate. I was ecstatic. The Astros had a chance to get back into a playoff game they trailed by three runs.

To my girlfriend’s chagrin, I cupped my hands around my mouth. At this moment, I couldn’t care less what the people in section 315 at Daikin Park thought of me.
