Gary VanDerzee has spent his adult life providing area high school athletes leadership, teaching and coaching expertise through six different decades of work, with the bulk of that time spent in various capacities for the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District.
Friday night, the community he served as a teacher, athletic director and coach for several different varsity teams is set to honor VanDerzee in a special way.
