NORTH WALPOLE — The Portsmouth High School bass fishing team sent two crews of freshmen to compete in the junior varsity state championship tournament on the Connecticut River on Saturday, Sept. 5.
Portsmouth’s Cameron Welch and Cavin Shaw placed 11th with a big fish weighing 1.79 pounds, while Luke Benton and Charlie Lavery placed 13th with a big fish of 1.33 pounds.
