There are no NFL games Sunday, Aug. 30, after the preseason concluded Saturday. Each of the NFL’s 32 teams played three preseason games.

The 2026 NFL regular season kicks off Wednesday, Sept. 9, followed by another game Thursday and the first full Sunday of football on Sept. 13.
There is still plenty of NFL action happening Sunday, just not on the field. Teams have until 6 p.m. ET to trim their rosters from 90 players to the regular-season limit of 53.
