Detroit — The Tigers made a roster move before Sunday’s series finale against the White Sox at Comerica Park.
The Tigers called up outfielder Brett Callahan to take the roster spot of Trei Cruz, who was designated for assignment.

Callahan, 24, a 13th-round pick by the Tigers in 2023 out of St. Joseph’s University, was scheduled to make his major-league debut in Sunday’s game. He was scheduled to play left field and bat seventh.
