Chandler National All-Stars come up short in first game of regional

The Chandler National Little League All-Stars fell to team Hawaii in the first game of the Little League World Series Western regional tournament, 7-3, on Sunday, Aug. 9.

Chandler went into the sixth inning leading Hawaii 3-2 after scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Arizona came undone in the top of the sixth inning, surrendering six runs to fall behind and never recover.

The patient Hawaii team drew four walks and hit two doubles in the top half of the sixth inning, the last one hit by Kholten Panui into the left field gap to score the final two runs
