Back in the Krzyzewski era, Coach K said that he didn’t like to play against his former players who had become coaches. His successor, Jon Scheyer, has only coached for four seasons so far, and none of his players have become coaches, so he doesn’t have that issue. And so he has had no issue setting up what Duke is calling Brotherhood Runs, where teams coached by former Blue Devils come to Durham for a game.
In 2024-25, the Blue Devils welcomed Bobby Hurley and Arizona State to Cameron for an exhibition.
