BEREA ― The pads came on for the Browns on Day 5 of training camp Aug. 3. It wasn’t all the way back to “real” football, but it was a step in the right direction.
That’s even though the Browns would be perfectly willing to mostly forget the way a lot of the day played out. Not that it was terrible, especially after very important medical diagnosis, but more a collection of mistakes that were clearly getting to coach Todd Monken at various points in practice.
