Pro Bowl running back Jahmyr Gibbs did not take part in the first practice of Detroit Lions training camp on Wednesday, July 29, in what appears to be a “hold-in” situation while awaiting a new contract.
Lions general manager Brad Holmes declined comment about Gibbs’ absence when approached by the Free Press after practice, and the organization declined to say why Gibbs was not on the field.
