Red Wings newcomer shines in Triple-A debut despite loss to Buffalo

Rochester’s pitching kept the game within reach, but the offense couldn’t generate enough support in a 3-1 loss to Buffalo at Sahlen Field on Saturday night.

Luis Perales allowed two runs on two hits over five innings, walking five and striking out four. The right-hander’s biggest setback came in the fourth inning when Je’Von Ward connected on a two-run homer that gave the Bisons a lead they never surrendered. Buffalo added an insurance run in the seventh.
