LINCOLN – After seeing a decline in player signups, Middletown Little League softball has made a resurgence, and this season came within a game of playing for the Rhode Island championship.
Middletown’s season came to an end on Monday, July 13, with a 15-1 loss to the Cranston Western All-Stars in the final game of the losers’ bracket of the Rhode Island state tournament. Despite the result, Middletown manager Brooke Anderson believes even getting this far is a huge achievement for the program.
