Former Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan reportedly agreed to become the San Antonio Spurs’ lead assistant coach, according to ESPN.
The 61-year-old Gators legend stepped down as head coach of the Chicago Bulls this offseason to allow the franchise to move in a different direction after sweeping changes in the front office. The Bulls brass stated that they wanted the longtime coach to remain in Chicago, but Donovan instead declined his contract option for next season.
