After the conclusion of the 2026 NBA Draft, NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN reported that the Charlotte Hornets have begun engaging in trade talks involving star point guard LaMelo Ball.
According to Charania, “multiple teams” are “strongly” in pursuit of the former All-Star. Ball is currently under contract until 2029 but is eligible to sign a two-year max contract extension this summer worth $119.2 million.
