Montgomery County Public Schools will continue its gymnastics program through 2027 after community efforts to save it.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Good news for some student-athletes with Montgomery County Public Schools.

The district announced on Thursday it plans to continue the gymnastics program through the 2027 season.
“I feel amazing that they’re keeping it for next year, but we can only hope that they continue it. My little sister wants to have it,” said Siena Schaner, Gymnast.
Earlier this school year, the program was set to be discontinued following this season.
