WASHINGTON — A McLean man was sentenced to 15 months in prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty in February to sending threatening messages to a federal official.

Scott Allen Bolger, 33, was charged with transmitting threats in interstate commerce after he used Google Voice to send a threatening message to a public official, later identified as former Kennedy Center Director Richard Grenell, on Dec. 23, 2025, according to court documents.
