AUBURN — There’s no rain falling at Plainsman Park, but the public address announced midway through the sixth inning of Auburn baseball‘s NCAA regional contest against Milwaukee that lightning had been detected within an eight-mile radius of the venue.

So, the Tigers and Panthers have officially entered a weather delay, with the visitors leading 11-5.
Milwaukee jumped all over Auburn to start, scoring six runs in the first two innings while holding Auburn scoreless until the fourth. At that point, the Panthers’ lead swelled to 10-0, but since then, the Tigers have out-scored Milwaukee 5-1.
