WASHINGTON — A home at the corner of 34th and Clay streets, Northeast, has been overgrown for years. Charles Boston aims to turn that eyesore into a constructive chore for DC youth.
“Providing young people with an opportunity to take some responsibility and some ownership over the maintenance of their neighborhood and their community. I think it instills good values,” said Boston, a certified arborist.
Tax records show the home has sat vacant since 2017 and is now listed as blighted, with nearly $900,000
