Driver dies after fuel truck overturns in Frederick County

MOUNT AIRY, Md. — Maryland State Police troopers say a man has died after the fuel tanker he was driving overturned early Tuesday morning. Troopers are still working to learn what caused the crash.

According to a spokesperson for MSP, the crash was first reported around 1:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70, near mile marker 61. The single-vehicle crash involved a tractor trailer hauling 7,700 gallons of diesel fuel.
