LAUREL, Md. — A parent of a Laurel High School student is calling on Prince George’s County Public Schools to strengthen campus safety after she says her son was hospitalized following a fight earlier this month.

Ken Golden said her son was injured during a fight at the school on Friday, May 1, and later treated at a local medical center for a head injury and other wounds.

“He had a large lump on the side of his head, a contusion,” Golden
