Thousands attend Preakness Stakes in Laurel Park

LAUREL, Md. — The 151st running of the Preakness Stakes will be held in Laurel Park, Md. Saturday. This is the first time since 1908 that the Preakness isn’t being held at Baltimore’s Pimlico Racecourse, as Pimlico undergoes a $400 million renovation.. 

It will be a more intimate crowd than the typical second leg of the triple crown, as attendance is capped at 4,800 people.
