USI claims game one over Lindenwood

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — With a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament on the line, the University of Southern Indiana got off to a strong start to their final regular season series Thursday afternoon.

Lindenwood put the Screaming Eagles in a hole early scoring two runs in the top of the first. USI responded with two of their own in the bottom of the second to tie the game up at two. The Lions put on another run to regain the lead in the top of the third, but from the fifth to the seventh inning Southern Indiana tallied runs.
