Tuberculosis case under investigation in Spotsylvania County

If not treated with medication, tuberculosis disease can lead to serious health problems and sometimes even death.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Health officials in Virginia are conducting an investigation after a case if tuberculosis disease (TB) was reported in Spotsylvania County. 

The Rappahannock Area Health District (RAHD) is working with Spotsylvania County Public Schools on the investigation as the case reportedly involves a member of the Chancellor High School community and the Spotsylvania Career and Technical Center. 

RAHD staff will be contacting students and staff who may have been exposed and will be sharing details about
