The Ohio State Buckeyes women’s tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament with a comprehensive win over Vanderbilt on Saturday, taking out the No. 14 seeded Commodores 4-1.
Given the way the Buckeyes finished the Big Ten Tournament, and given how good Vanderbilt is when healthy, many viewed the Commodores as a serious threat to upset the No. 3 Buckeyes. However, Ohio State banished any such hopes with a dominant showing on Saturday afternoon in Columbus.
