DC spent $67M cleaning up January’s snowstorm, but there are questions about where millions went

WASHINGTON — Washington, D.C. spent more than $67 million cleaning up after January’s historic snowstorm, but there are serious questions about millions of those dollars going to a trucking company whose owner is now sitting in a federal jail cell.

The District provided WUSA9 with a breakdown of the total bill: $67,285,642 split across three agencies: 

Department of Public Works spent $50,409,831Department of General Services spent $11,127,680D.C. Department of Transportation spent $5,748,131
