Cherie DeVaux made Kentucky Derby history on Saturday after her horse, Golden Tempo, won the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs.
DeVaux is a Saratoga Springs, New York, native who won the Breeders’ Cup 2024 Mile with More Than Looks. Her family has been involved with Standardbred racing, per Keeneland, and her brother, Jimmy, is a driver and trainer.
